Now, have you heard of Reverse Hot Stamping? Its easy. Its also done in the same way. Just, the effects is totally different. You may have the idea to stamp only the words, and left your background colorful. Now, reverse hot stamping is a different technique which you stamp the background only, and leave the words to the printed colors. Illustration below will clarify your confusion if you still haven’t get it.
Use only Sans Serif Font types rather than Serif Font types
First of all, to create a beautiful reverse hot stamping, you should avoid using Serif Font types such as Times New Roman. Due to some limitation on the font thickness, you are highly suggested to use only Sans Serif Fonts such as Arial, and then Bold it. As for font sizes, use at least a minimum of 10pts for fonts, and 1pt thickness for line.
Special Condition
In a special condition when you are using Matte Lamination for art paper or art cards for Hot Stamping, you are to take note that your reverse hot stamping area does not exceed 35mm (H) x 70mm (W). Refer to the illustration below.
